Shortly after I added the Holy Toldeo Polka Days dates ... POOF, they were GONE when the festival had to cancel.
I get updates multiple times a week from bands, festival promoters and polka enthusiasts and do my best to verify the updates before posting them.
If you maneuver to the PolkaDances page, you will see the MOST up to date "Midwest Area Events" listing/PDF. One second after I load an update, you will see the updated schedule!
How do you know if a copy you downloaded or printed is the most up to date?
In the upper LEFT corner of every page are the DATE and VERSION. The date will tell you the day I updated it.
The VERSION is a CRYPTIC combo of characters! I was a computer programmer for 40 years and we do that type of thing!
It is composed of 2 digit year (YY), 2 digit month (MM), 2 digit day (DD) and a sequential letter if I load 2 or more versions in one day ("a" is the 1st update, "b" is the 2nd update and so on). So it will look like YYMMDDa! Confused? That's OK! It really doesn't change how you use the schedule.WHY, Doug, would you make 2 or 3 updates in one day?!? Well, I may have made a mistake and posted a correction. I may make an update at 2 am (yup, I am a late nite guy ... I get that for the decades of coming home from band gigs at 2,3,4 am!) ... and then another at 10 pm after I get a band's updates during the day.
Do you want to know what TIME I post updates for YOU? Look at the last line of the page ... it has the timestamp when I saved it.
So, you should look at the website EVERY TIME you want to know the LATEST UPDATES of where & when you can see your FAVORITE band or want to see a NEW band!
